NUTRIRHODO

Biomass nutrient for photosynthetic bacteria

One bag of NUTRI RHODO plus one 20-litre can of photosynthetic-bacteria starter, sun-incubated for about 7 days, gives 200 litres of Rhodo culture for your ponds — fewer cans to buy, lower crop costs.

01 — Why grow your own biomass

Photosynthetic bacteria help the pond, but buying cans all crop adds up

  1. 1

    Work in dark, low-oxygen zones

They need little light and help break down organic matter and take up NH₃ and H₂S near the pond bottom.

  2. 2

Do not last long in the pond

The population fades, so they must be added regularly — many cans per crop.

  3. 3

    Costs climb

Buying finished cans all the time pushes crop costs up considerably.

  4. 4

    1 can becomes 10

One bag of NUTRI RHODO turns a 20-litre starter can into 200 litres after about 7 days in the sun.

03 — Steps

Follow the order, stir for the full time

Rinse ALL tools with alcohol before you start

Drum, bucket, jug, stick, bags or cans — anything that touches the culture must be rinsed thoroughly with 60 – 90% alcohol (90% is best). This is the number-one cause of failed batches: contaminated tools make the culture turn black instead of red.

Use clean fresh water only (well water without alum, drinking water). Never salt water, never pond water.

  1. 0

    Rinse every tool with alcohol

    Key trick

Drum, bucket, stick, bags or cans — rinse them all with 60 – 90% alcohol. Many batches fail because this is skipped: contaminated tools make the culture turn black instead of red.

  2. 1

Pour 170 litres of clean water into the drum

    170 L

Clean fresh water: well water without alum or drinking water. Never salt water or pond water — wild bacteria in pond water eat all the nutrient and the batch will not grow.

  3. 2

Dissolve NUTRI RHODO in 10 litres of water

    ≈ 10 min

Fill the bucket with 10 litres of clean water, add the whole bag of NUTRI RHODO and stir until dissolved.

  4. 3

Pour the bucket into the drum

    1 – 2 min

Stir it into the 170 litres of water.

  5. 4

    Add the 20-litre starter can

    ≈ 20 min

Stir until fully mixed — about 200 litres in total.

  6. 5

Fill bags or cans and seal

    10 × 20 L

Tie the bag necks tight with rubber bands. Thin bags laid flat catch more sun.

03b — 20-litre test batch

Run a 20-litre test before the real batch

First time, or with a new water source or a new starter can: make a 20-litre test at exactly the same ratio as the 200-litre batch (divide by 10), with drinking water. If it turns red in about 7 days, go ahead with the real batch without risking a whole starter can.

Rinse ALL tools with alcohol before you start

Use clean fresh water only (well water without alum, drinking water). Never salt water, never pond water.

  1. 1Rinse ALL tools with alcohol — the most important step20-litre can or bucket, measuring jug, stick, bag — rinse thoroughly with 60 – 90% alcohol. Miss one and the batch can get contaminated and turn black.
  2. 2Dissolve 48 g of NUTRI RHODO in 1 litre of drinking waterStir until fully dissolved.
  3. 3Pour into 17 litres of drinking waterNever salt water or pond water. Stir well.
  4. 4Add 2 litres of starterShake the starter can before pouring, add and stir well.
  5. 5Fill 1 bag, seal, put in the sunWatch the colour as for the real batch.
Good: colour by day 3 – 4, deep red around day 7Make the real 200-litre batch with the same starter can, clean fresh water and alcohol-rinsed tools.
Failed: turns black or no colourCheck the common-problems table (alcohol rinse, water, starter) and test again before a full batch.

Seal and zip the rest of the NUTRI RHODO bag right away. Close the opened starter can tightly and use it soon.

04 — Sun incubation

The colour tells you if the batch is good

  1. Day 0Just baggedThe mix is still pale.
  2. Day 3 – 4Colour startsTurning pink to light red.
  3. Around day 7Full colour, readyEven deep red in the whole bag.
  4. Day 7 – 10Darker red with little sunIn low-sun seasons it can take up to 10 days.
Black means the batch has failedIt is contaminated — do not use it in the pond. Next time rinse every tool thoroughly with alcohol.

Place the bags in full sun. The more surface exposed, the faster the colour develops; the sunny season works best. Colours shown are illustrative.

Using the finished Rhodo culture

Culture dosage as shown in the channel's video.
  • Finished Rhodo culture — routine use2 – 4 litres / 1,000 m³ of waterEvery 3 – 4 days, spread evenly over the pond
  • Per the registered label — added to feed1 – 2 g / kg of feedDuring the crop

Adjust the dose to the actual pond condition, stocking density and shrimp health. Seal and zip the NUTRI RHODO bag right after use if not finished.

FAQFrequently asked questions
What is NUTRI RHODO used for?
It is a nutrient (yeast protein) for growing photosynthetic-bacteria biomass: 1 bag plus a 20-litre starter can gives about 200 litres after roughly 7 days in the sun. Per the registered label it can also be added to feed at 1 – 2 g/kg.
Can I use pond water or salt water?
No. Pond water is full of wild bacteria that eat all the nutrient, so the batch will not grow; salt water is not suitable either. Use well water without alum or drinking water; use drinking water for the 20-litre test.
How long until it is ready?
Colour usually starts on day 3 – 4 and reaches deep red around day 7. With little sun it can take up to 10 days.
Why did my batch turn black?
It is contaminated, usually because the tools were not sterilised. Do not use it; next time rinse the drum, bucket, stick and bags with 60 – 90% alcohol.
How do I use the finished culture?
2 – 4 litres per 1,000 m³ of water, every 3 – 4 days, spread evenly over the pond.
How do I choose the starter?
A 20-litre can of photosynthetic bacteria, deep red and fresh (within 1 month). Thần Vương offers RODO BACTO, 20-litre can.
