Protocol QT-03

Co-infection: haemorrhage and bacillary necrosis

Usually appears after a first course that did not clear. The document names the cause plainly: a dragged-out treatment and repeated antibiotic courses.

Withdrawal4 weeks before harvest

Step 0 · Identify

What you see at the pond

Open 10–20 fish and count the ratio before choosing a branch. This step cannot be skipped.

Pus spots on organsRed dorsal fin baseRed anusBody hemorrhage
  • Both internal pus spots and external haemorrhage
  • Open 10–20 fish and count which dominates
  • Necrosis dominant → branch A. Haemorrhage dominant → branch B

Open 10–20 fish and count whether internal pus spots or external haemorrhage dominates. This decides the branch.

Withdrawal

4 weeks

Branch A (FLOR-MAX) 12 days, branch B (OXYTETRA) 4 weeks — per label, from the last dose.

No improvement in 3–5 days

This is already the pond's second course. If it still does not clear, do NOT run a third — that is the road to the white liver, white gill condition in QT-04. Switch to liver recovery and environment work, and call Than Vuong technical staff to the pond.

Note

Remove all dead fish. Do not raise the feed rate during treatment.
