Full directions

High-count Bacillus subtilis breaks down organic matter and reduces pathogens in the pond, builds good water colour and the natural food chain — helping fish ponds turn green and holding back toxic gases such as ammonia, nitrite and hydrogen sulfide.

01 — Benefits

3 main benefits

  • 01

Supplies beneficial microbes that break down organic matter and reduce pathogens in the pond.

  • 02

Builds good water colour and boosts the natural food chain in the pond.

  • 03

Handles and prevents toxic gases such as ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and hydrogen sulfide.

02 — Fish pond routine

Building water colour and shifting to green algae in fish ponds

New water takes on diatom (tea-coloured) algae more easily than green algae, so the job has two stages: SOILMAX builds the tea colour first, then NIAZYME gradually shifts the pond to green algae — the colour fish ponds favour because green algae are more nutritious. Routine as taught by Thần Vương technical staff, with doses from the product labels.

  1. 01

    Prepare the water

Fill, disinfect and wait about 48 hours before seeding microbes. Well water: after disinfection, use PREMIX EDTA to remove acidity (phèn), iron and heavy metals.

  2. 02

    Build tea colour with SOILMAX

Aerate 1 pack of SOILMAX with 1 kg of FYTO FLOC (or molasses) for about 2 hours and spread at 9 – 10 am, 1 pack per 2,000 – 2,500 m³. Repeat after 3 – 5 days; about 2 rounds usually bring the water to tea (diatom) colour.

  3. 03

    Fingerlings: keep the tea colour

Stock the fish and feed normally — fish waste feeds the algae. Fry-to-fingerling ponds usually keep tea colour for about the first 30 days.

  4. 04

Shift to green algae with NIAZYME

Soak NIAZYME with FYTO FLOC (or molasses) and aerate 4 – 5 hours, then spread at 9 – 10 am, 1 kg per 8,000 m³. Repeat every 4 – 5 days; after 2 – 3 applications the water gradually turns from tea to green.

  5. 05

Grow-out fish: keep it green until harvest

From here on, use only NIAZYME routinely, 1 kg per 10,000 m³ — no more SOILMAX.

  6. 06

    When to bring SOILMAX back

Green algae too thick, high toxic gases or a lot of blue-green algae: stop NIAZYME and use SOILMAX at 1 pack per 1,000 m³ for 2 – 3 days in a row.

Tea colour lasts longer, green colour feeds better

Tea colour (diatoms) is more stable, so shrimp hatcheries usually keep tea-coloured water. Fish ponds usually run green from fingerling to market size because green algae are more nutritious — at the cost of watching that the colour does not get too dark.

03 — Dosage

Dosage per the product label

Applied to the water. 1 pack = 1 kg. Doses from the fish-line label.

How to use

  1. 1Soak with molasses and aerate 4 – 5 hoursBefore spreading into the pond, for best microbial activity.
  2. 2Apply at 9 – 10 am

Adjust the dose to actual pond conditions, stocking density and fish health.

Seal and zip the bag right after use if not finished.

FAQFrequently asked questions
What is NIAZYME used for?
Probiotic that builds water colour and turns fish pond water green
How to use NIAZYME?
Recommended doses: Pond renovation: 1 kg/8,000 m3 of water, applied as soon as the water level is full to raise microbial density, stabilise and build water colour. Pond just desludged, cloudy or flocculent water: 1 kg/10,000 m3, applied after the water change to break down organic matter and stabilise water parameters. Fingerling ponds that are hard to exchange with a sludgy bottom: 1 kg/8,000 m3, 2 - 3 days in a row, to neutralise toxic gases and improve the water. Routine: 1 kg/10,000 m3, keeps pond water stable and raises beneficial microbes. Note: Best applied at 9 - 10 am. Soak with molasses and aerate for 4 - 5 hours before spreading for best results. Adjust the dose to actual pond conditions, stocking density and animal health. Seal and zip the bag right after use if not finished.
