For farmers to truly benefit from sustainability, “sustainability” must go beyond being a slogan—it needs to become a real, measurable, and tangible value. Here are some ways to make that a reality:
- Reducing Risks – Increasing Stability
Sustainable solutions often help improve farming conditions, reduce diseases, and increase survival rates. This means higher survival, fewer losses, less stress—and consistently strong farming performance.
- Better Farming Performance
High-quality products help shrimp grow faster, stay healthier, and achieve lower FCR, thereby reducing the cost per kilogram of shrimp, even if the initial input cost is slightly higher.
- Less Dependence on Antibiotics
Probiotic, post-biotic, and immune-boosting nutritional solutions can help prevent disease without the use of antibiotics. As a result, shrimp are healthier, fetch higher prices, and are not rejected in export markets.
- More Profits in the Long Run
While initial costs might be higher, sustainability means fewer losses, fewer failed crops, and fewer total wipeouts—this is how farmers achieve long-term profits rather than “hitting the jackpot in one crop then quitting.”
- Preferred by Markets and Partners
Farms that apply clean, traceable, and well-managed models are prioritized by businesses and processing plants, who are also looking for “reliable and sustainable sources of supply.”
When sustainable solutions are tailored to real-world farming practices, farmers not only accept the higher costs—they actively choose them because the value they receive clearly outweighs the investment.
Than Vuong Company, in collaboration with Diep Toan Distributor, successfully organized a seminar on the topic: “Solutions for Preventing EHP and TPD in Shrimp,” with enthusiastic participation from shrimp farmers in the region.

The seminar was an opportunity for Than Vuong and Diep Toan Distributor to share the latest updates on the prevention and control of Translucent Post-larvae Disease (TPD) and Enterocytozoon hepatopenaei (EHP) – two of the most serious challenges currently facing the shrimp farming industry.

At the same time, this was also an opportunity to listen, exchange ideas, and stand alongside farmers on the journey toward effective and sustainable shrimp farming. The presence and sincere sharing from our valued guests are a testament to the strong bond and enduring trust that farmers have placed in us over the years.

Based on surveys and practical trials at various farms, Than Vuong is pleased to share with our valued customers an integrated solution to minimize the impact of Vibrio TPD – the main cause of hepatopancreatic necrosis in shrimp:
- Enhancing biosecurity
• Clear zoning: Separate the nursery area from the farming area to limit cross-contamination.
• Strict entry and exit control: Implement disinfection systems and control access for people, equipment, and vehicles entering and leaving the farming area.
- Adjusting the environment accordingly
• Maintain low salinity (<12 ppt) for the first 30 days: This limits conditions favorable for Vibrio growth and reduces disease pressure during the shrimp's most sensitive period.
- Shrimp bathing with high-power probiotics before stocking
• Use high-dose probiotics to create an initial biological advantage, including products such as:
SoilMax
Bac Wat
Lalsea Biorem
• Enhance the dominance of beneficial microorganisms, stabilizing water quality and pond sediment.
- Feeding program by shift – early care for hepatopancreas and intestinal health
• Shift 1: Clever + HerbGuard → Protect the hepatopancreas and support immunity.
• Shift 2: ProGut + AquaMos + QuickShel Gold → Improve digestion and absorption, support the molting process.
• Shift 3: ProGut + AquaMos → Maintain a stable intestinal microbiota.
• Shift 4: Flash or ProSur → Control Vibrio and balance the intestinal bacterial system.
The antimicrobial effectiveness of Pro Sur has been proven
In a recent experiment conducted by the Lab team at Than Vuong’s factory, Pro Sur demonstrated outstanding effectiveness in inhibiting Vibrio bacteria – the primary cause of TPD syndrome.
Results from direct evaluation on agar plates:
• 0.5% sample → Antibacterial zone of about 2.1 cm → Shows strong antibacterial activity.
• 1.5% sample → Antibacterial zone of about 2.3 cm → Demonstrates strong antibacterial activity.
The results show:
• Pro Sur has a powerful ability to inhibit Vibrio bacteria, helping to minimize the risk of TPD outbreaks.
• The effect is evident at various concentrations.
• It is an optimal solution for farmers in managing diseases and protecting shrimp intestinal health.
The products in Than Vuong’s TPD and EHP prevention solution range are developed based on biological products, beneficial probiotics, and natural herbal ingredients, providing high effectiveness while ensuring absolute safety for shrimp and the pond environment.
Using biologically sourced solutions not only helps to:
• Enhance the shrimp's natural immunity.
• Stabilize the intestinal microbiota and water quality.
• Minimize harmful chemical residues.
...but also contributes to protecting the pond’s ecosystem, thereby improving sustainability in production – both economically and environmentally.
Than Vuong's solution package is not only an investment in modern biotechnology but also represents our strong commitment to:
• Protecting shrimp health from an early stage.
• Optimizing production efficiency.
